Project 1: | "Boca de Fresa" (Strawberry Mouth)
Description: | Fiction Feature Film, 95 minutes, to be shot in 35 mm.
Synopsis: | Oscar (40) is a down-at-the-mouth musical producer who one day hears a tune created by one of the first singers his uncle Robert, founder and partner of the company where he works, unsuccessfully tried to launch onto the market in the 70s. Today, re-edited by a European company, the song has become an international hit and Oscar decides to get a juicy cut of what he imagines to be a multi-million dollar business. The only problem that he and his girlfriend Natalia find, once they discover the whereabouts of Fredy, is that the ex songwriter/singer has been living in the mountains of the Province of San Luis. There he lives as a hermit, spending his hours sculpting statuettes of stone, listening to the only music he knows: "the sound of the river". As a result of their experience, Oscar and Natalia learn that it is better not to know where you're going than to go in the wrong direction.
Status: | The project is finished and has won the competition sponsored by the Government of the Province of San Luis, granted by an international jury, made up of a no-interest development loan for 199.146,51 E, to be returned in 36 monthly installments (three years) as of 60 days after the commercial premier of the film. The project has been presented for pre-classification to the Institute for National Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), where it is waiting for a final ruling.
